クルマに同乗している。
視野いっぱいに道路が映っているので
助手席にでもいるのだろう。
複雑な組み合わせの交差点では
対向車と衝突するのではないかと不安になる。
それにしても運転手とは偉いものだ。
しきりに感心する。
運転手は若き日の親父のようである。
私は玄米おにぎりの話をしていた。
それを持参しているらしい。
やがて、路肩に停車して店に入る。
立ち喰いそば屋のような印象。
親父が言う。
「そのおにぎりを喰わせてくれ」
バッグから取り出してみると
いなりずしと玄米おにぎりが一個ずつ。
喰いかけもあり、それは自分で食べるとして
他はすべて親父に差し出す。
おいしそうに食べてくれる。
店内にいる客の話になり
「まるで野武士のようだな」
確かにそんな顔をしている。
その客に気づかれて斬られてしまうのではないかと
クルマの運転のようにドキドキする。

Driving a Car
I'm in a car.
I can be in the passenger seat
because the road is full of my field of view.
At an intersection with a complicated combination,
I am worried that it may collide
with an oncoming vehicle.
Even so, the driver is great.
I'm very impressed.
The driver is like my younger father.
I was talking about brown rice balls.
I've brought it with me.
Eventually we stop on the shoulder of the road
and enter the store.
It has the impression of a standing soba restaurant.
My father says.
"Let me eat that rice ball."
When I took it out of the bag,
I found one Inarizushi and one brown rice ball.
There is also a bite, I will eat it myself,
and I will offer everything else to my father.
He eats deliciously.
We are talking about the customers in the store.
"He looks like a samurai."
Certainly he looks like that.
I felt excited as if driving a car, as I might be cut off
by being noticed by the customer.
