誰かに何かを言われて
僕はそこから帰るつもりだった。
そこは湿原のようなところ。
ボートのような滑るものに乗っていた。
そして、鳥の木を見つけた。
真っ青な空を背景に
真っ青な水面から木が生えていた。
細くて黒い枝だけの木なのだけれど
まるで葉のように枝の先に鳥がとまっている。
青い背景に色とりどりの鳥の葉っぱの木。
きれいだな。そう思った。
撮影しなければ。そうも思った。
でも今、カメラを持っていない。
僕に何かを言った誰かに奪われてしまったのだ。
その時、木のてっぺんにいた黒い鳥が飛んだ。
あわてた僕は両手の親指と人差し指とで
空中に四角なフレームの画面を作る。
黒い鳥は飛び去らずに着水すると
そのまま水鳥のように青い水面を移動する。
黒くてきれいでもないが、動いている。
色鮮やかできれいな鳥たちは
木の枝先にとまったまま動かない。
あいかわらず僕はカメラを持っていない。
よりによって、こんな瞬間に。
うまくいかないものだな。
やはり僕は、そう思うのだった。

A Bird Tree
Someone told me something
and I was going to go home from there.
It's like a marsh.
I was on a slippery thing like a boat.
And I found a bird tree.
The tree was growing from the blue water surface
against the background of the deep blue sky.
It's a tree with only thin, black branches,
but the birds are perched on the tips of the branches
like leaves.

At that time, a black bird on the top of the tree flew.
In a hurry, I make a square frame screen in the air
with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
When a black bird lands on the water without flying away,
it moves on the blue surface like a waterfowl.
It's black and not beautiful, but it's moving.
The colorful and beautiful birds stay
on the tip of a tree branch and do not move.
As usual, I don't have a camera.
