ナマケモノ

砂浜で一匹のナマケモノを拾った。

子守りでもするように胸の前で抱えてみる。
おお、なかなか愛らしい。

哺乳綱（ほにゅうこう）異節上目（いせつじょうもく）有毛目（ゆうもうもく）ナマケモノ亜目（あもく） の総称。
手に爪が三本あるので、ミユビナマケモノ科と思われる。

砂浜には一本の低木が茂っていた。
この茂みにナマケモノを絡ませたくなった。

ところが、茂みの根もとには大蛇がいた。
しめ縄のようにとぐろを巻いている。

ナマケモノなんか置いたら食べられてしまうに違いない。
さて困った。

あたりを見まわす。
手頃な棒を見つけた。

その棒で軽く払うと、大蛇は勢いよく消し飛んだ。
あっけないものだ。

どれどれ。
これより茂みにナマケモノを絡ませるぞ。

Sloth

I picked up a sloth on the beach.

I try to hold it in front of my chest
as if I were a babysitter.

Oh, it's pretty adorable.

Since there are three claws on the hand,
it seems to be a sloth family.

There was a shrub on the sandy beach.
I wanted to entwin this sloth with this bush.

However, there was a big snake at the base of the bush.
It is wrapped like a shimenawa.

If I put a sloth there, it must be eaten.
Well I was in trouble.

I look around.
I found an affordable stick.

When I wiped it lightly with the stick,
the snake disappeared vigorously.

It's a shame.

Let's see.
I'll entangle this sloth in the bushes.
