毛糸の帽子をかぶり
毛糸のマフラーを 首に巻く。
寒い 冬の晩だった。
猫になって 家を出て
犬になって 夜道を歩いた。
途中、路上駐車のクルマから 小銭を盗んだ。
深い意味はない。
盗めるから 盗んでみただけ。
やがて、家のシルエットが 見えてきた。
同じ中学に通う 女の子の家。
垣根はなく、わけなく庭に 忍び込めた。
裏庭に立ち、二階の窓明かりを 見上げる。
カーテンに 人影らしきものが 映っていた。
いくら待っても ほとんど動かなかった。
あれは彼女の影では なかったかもしれない。
人影ですら なかったかもしれない。
そもそも 彼女の部屋がどこなのか
僕は 知らなかった。
でも、その動かない影を
いつまでも 見続けた。
雪が降り始めても
寒さは 感じなかった。
もう二度と 見ることはないだろう。
あんなに夢中になった 影絵。

Shadow Picture
I wear a yarn cap
and wrap a woolen muffler around my neck.
It was a cold winter evening.
Became a cat, left the house,
and become a dog, walked over the night road.
On the way,
I stealed the change from the street parking car.
There is no deep meaning.
I only steal it because it can steal.
Eventually the silhouette of the house came into sight.
A girl 's house attending the same junior high school.
There was no fence,
and I could sneak into the garden without difficulty.
Stand up in the backyard
and look up at the window light on the second floor.
There was something
that looked like a person in the curtain.
As much as I waited, it hardly moved.
That may not have been her shadow.
It may not have been the shadow of a person either.
I did not know where her room is, first of all.
But I kept watching the unmoving shadow forever.
Even though it started snowing, I did not feel cold.
I will never see it again,
a shadow painting so much crazy.
