まだ少年だった頃、
自転車で砂利の坂道を下るのが好きだった。
車軸潰しの激しい振動がたまらなかった。
急カーブでもブレーキは使いたくなかった。
それが自分で決めたルールだった。
いつ転んでもおかしくなかった。
あの日も自転車に乗っていた。
坂道を上るのは苦にならなかった。
上りの辛さは、下りの楽しみ。
いかにも山道らしい風景も悪くなかった。
トンネルの入口、黒い半円が見えてきた。
長くないトンネル、そこが峠でもあった。
ほとんど誰も通らないのだった。
入口の脇に自転車を置き、奥へ歩いた。
靴音が反響する。
照明などなかった。
真夏でもひんやりと涼しかった。
トンネルの真ん中で歌ってみた。
（なんていい声に聞えるんだろう！）
恥ずかしい言葉だって大声で言える。
笑い出したら止まらなくなった。
裸になって踊りたい気分だった。
誰もいないから問題ないはず。
そして、あっと言う間に時が過ぎた。
そろそろ坂道を下り、家に帰らなければ。
向こう側の出口に小さく自転車が見えた。
けれど、なんとなく振り返ってみた。
反対側の出口にも自転車が置いてあった。
どちらも自分の自転車に見えた。
冷たい水滴がひとつ、首筋に落ちた。

Tunnel and Bicycle
When I was a boy,
I liked to go down the slope of gravel with my bicycle.
Violent vibration of the axle crush was pleasant.
I did not want to use the brake even on a sharp curve.
That was the rule that I decided on my own.
It was not unnatural whenever I fell down.
I was riding a bicycle that day.
I had no difficulty getting up a slope.
The spirit of upload is pleasure of going down.
The scenery like mountain paths was not bad anyhow.
At the entrance of the tunnel,
a black semicircle came into sight.
Not long tunnel, that was also the pass.
Almost no one passed.
I put my bicycle next to the entrance
and walked to the back.
The shoe sounds echo.
There was no lighting.
It was cool in the midsummer.
I sang in the middle of the tunnel.
What a nice voice I can hear!
Even embarrassing words can say loudly.
I laughed, I could not stop laughing.
I felt like dancing naked.
Since there is nobody, there should be no problem.
And instantly time passed.
It is time to go down the slope and go home.
I saw a small bicycle at the other side exit.
However, I looked back somehow.
A bicycle was also placed at the exit on the other side.
Both of them looked like my own bicycle.
One cold water drop fell to my neck.
