寒い夜が明けると、湖はすっかり凍りつき
その上をどこまでも渡れるようになった。
とても澄んだ水の湖なので
氷になっても底まで透けて見える。
魚は勿論、色々な生き物が標本のように固まっている。
カバやワニ、ぶざまな姿の河童、絶滅したはずの恐竜。
UFOらしきものまで見える。
ということは、これは夢かもしれない。
まるでその証拠であるかのように
軽やかに滑る私のスケート靴の刃の跡をなぞりながら
凍った湖面の氷上に
いやらしい亀裂が止めどなく幾本も走る。
（ああ、追いつかれる！）
そういえば、もう季節はすっかり春なのだ。

Ice Breaks
When the cold night dawned,
the lake was completely frozen
and it came to be able to cross over it.

dinosaurs that should have been extinct.
