随分前に寝床に入ったのだが
外が騒がしくて眠れない。
「わあ、すごい！ すごい！」
近所の奥さんの声が聞こえる。
らしくないな、と思う。
彼女はインテリだ、と近所で評判なのだ。
起き上がり、窓を開け、外を眺める。
渡り鳥の群のようなジェット機の編隊が
青い空を横切るように飛んでいるのが見える。
航空ショーだ。
けれど、感激して騒ぐほどでもない。
「あれじゃなくて、真上よ。真上」
近所の奥さんが親切にも教えてくれる。
見上げると、巨大な美女が見下ろしていた。
大胆な水着姿で空中に浮かんでいる。
巨大な笑顔でこちらに手を振っている。
しばらく状況を理解できなかった。
ようやく実体でないことに気がつく。
空をスクリーンとした映像なのであった。
これには感心してしまった。
どうやって空に投影しているのだろう。
いくら考えてもわからないので
とりあえず空中の美女に手を振ってみた。
すると、驚いたことに
彼女、ウインクを返してくれた。
よくわからないまま呆然としていると
やがて空中の美女は手を振りながら消えた。
続いてジェット機の編隊も消えた。
さらに、青い空まで消えてしまった。
星も月もない真っ暗な夜空だけが残った。
呆れてしまった。
みんな映像だったのだ。
「それじゃ、おにいさん。おやすみなさい」
近所の奥さんも手を振りながら消えた。
窓を閉め、また寝床に入る。
静かだ。
かすかな物音も外から聞こえない。
でも、それなのに
やっぱり眠れないのだった。

Smile in the Sky
I went to bed a long time ago,
but outside is noisy and I can not sleep.
"Wow, this is amazing! It's amazing!"
I can hear the voices of my neighbor 's wife.
I think, it is not like her.
It is a reputation in the neighborhood, she is intelligent.
I get up, open the window and look outside.
I can see that the flight of jets like groups of migratory birds
are flying across the blue sky.
It is an air show.
However, there is nothing that makes me excited.
"That is not it, just above, right above."
My neighbor's wife kindly tells me.
When I looked up, a huge beautiful woman looked down.
She is floating in the air in a bold bathing suit.
She waves to me with a huge smile.
I could not understand the situation for a while.
Finally I noticed that she was not substantive.

I admired this.

while waving her hand.

I close the window and go to bed again.
