お礼として、そのうちのいくつかの野菜を
その家の者たちへプレゼントするつもり。
その家の者たちは東南アジア系の人たちで
片言の日本語を話す。
皮をむいた立方体のスイカがあり
それを今夜の宴会用に使うよう提案する。
清水が出る池が近くにあるから
そこに入れておけば、おいしく冷えるはず。
ただし、挨拶するのがちょっと面倒だけど
その池の持ち主に一言断る必要がある。
近所付き合い、なかなか大変だ。
Let's Put Some Vegetables
I rent a house near a field
and put a large amount
of freshly harvested vegetables.
I will give some of those vegetables
to the family as a thank-you gift.
The members of the house
are Southeast Asian people
who speak Japanese in one word.

There is a pond near Shimizu,
