空白の時間

出勤前に立ち寄るところがあった。

電車の切符代を必要以上に払い過ぎたり　
閉鎖された改札口を飛び越えたりしながら　
混乱した状態で目的地を目差した。

そして、空白の時間があった。

それから出勤してみると　
今日は得意先への企画提案の日である。

まだ企画書は完成していない。

だが、もう出かけなければならない時刻だ。
部下に残りの作業をまかせるしかない。

これから得意先に出かけるが　
企画書が完成したら営業に渡し　
私に届けさせるよう、部下に指示する。

だが、暇だから自分で届ける、と部下は言う。

どうせ営業は得意先に行くのだから　
それは無駄手間だ、と部下を説得するが　
なかなかわかってもらえない。

だが、とにかくもう時間がない。
急いで出発しなければならないのだ。

ところが、玄関に自分の靴がないのである。

その会社らしくない家庭的な玄関には
ところ狭しと数多くの靴が置いてある。

しかし、肝心の自分の靴が見つからない。

ふと思い出したのは、あの空白の時間。
出勤前に立ち寄った場所に忘れてきたのだ。

あせってしまう。
サイズの合う靴さえない。

裸足で得意先に行くわけにはいかない。
いくら考えても良い解決策が浮かばない。

いたずらに、ただ時間ばかり過ぎてゆく。

Blank Time

There was a place to stop by before going to work.

While paying too much for the train ticket
and jumping over the closed ticket gates,
I aimed at the destination in a confused state.

And there was a blank time.

Then, when I went to work,
today was the day of planning proposals to customers.

The proposal has not been completed yet.
But it's time to go out.

I have no choice
but to leave the rest of the work to my subordinate.

I'm going to the customer from now on,
but when the proposal is completed,
I instructed my subordinate to hand it over
to the sales staff and have it delivered to me.

However, my subordinate say,
"I will deliver it myself because I am free."

I convince him that it's a waste of time
because sales go to customers anyway,
but it's hard to understand.

But anyway, I don't have time anymore.
I have to leave in a hurry.

However, I don't have my shoes at the entrance.

A lot of shoes are placed
in a small space at the homely entrance
that is not like the company.

However, I can't find my essential shoes.

I suddenly remembered that blank time.
I left it in the place I stopped by before going to work.

I'm in a hurry.
I don't even have shoes that fit the size.

I can't go barefoot to a customer.

No matter how much I think about it,
I can't come up with a solution.
