中学の校舎であろうか。
その木造の渡り廊下を歩いている。
なぜか裸同然の姿だ。
脱いだばかりの布切れを手に持っているだけ。
困ったことに、前方から集団がやってくる。
話し声からして、工場のパートさんたちのようだ。
こちらに気づいた人もいる気配。
いけない。これはいけない。
こんな裸同然の姿、見られたら恥ずかしい。
とりあえず、逃げなければ。
開いていた非常口からグラウンドへ出る。
裸足でグラウンドを斜めに横切る。
きっと誰かに後ろ指をさされているに違いない。
一番近い教職員用の玄関から校舎に戻る。
雨上がりか、足の裏に重いほど砂がついている。
このまま土足で入るわけにはいくまい。
今ちょうど、手で砂を払っているところ。
