狭い道路を、兄が先頭、私が後ろ。
それぞれ別のオートバイに乗り
ある目的地を目指して疾走している。
しばらく直進を続けているが
そろそろ右折しなければならないはず。
ところが、右折できる脇道は
どれもオートバイでは通れそうにない。
ただでさえ狭苦しい上に
鉢植えやら段ボール箱やら、障害物だらけ。
ついに前進できなくなった。
来た道を引き返すしか方法がない。
なんとは向きを変える。
今度は私が先頭で、兄が後ろ。
戻りながらも、左折できそうな脇道を探す。
なんとか見つけた。
障害物を避けながら奥へと進む。
やがて大きな石段が立ち塞がる。
ええい。こんなもの上ってしまえ。
難しいが、なんとか上れそうな気配。
いや。なんとしても上らねば。
A Narrow Side Street
On a narrow road,
my older brother is head, I am behind.
We each ride a different motorcycle
and are running aiming for a destination.
We have been going straight for a while,
but we should have made a right turn soon.

that can turn right is unlikely to pass by motorcycles.
