観光地で大勢の観光客と順番待ちをしていた。
皆は立っているが、疲れたので寝させてもらう。
すると、他の観光客も座ったり寝たりを始めた。
ところが、前列より前の観光客たちは立ったまま。
そのうち、彼らは散らばっていなくなった。
自分がいる列と最後尾までの3列だけが残る。
やがて、ここも散り始め、3列のベンチが現れる。
そうか、なるほど。
ベンチがあったから座ったり寝たりできたのか。
閑散としたベンチの上に数名の老婆が残る。
そのうちの一人が話しかけてきた。
知人の親類にあたる人らしい。
あの人はどうしたこうしたと込み入った話。
あの人はどうしたのかと考えているうちに
ベンチはいつしか自転車のフレームになる。
ふと、あの人とこれで遊んだ記憶が蘇る。
