そこを始点としたある位置までの距離を計測する。
そこに印を付け、さらのその倍の距離のところにも
印を付けようとして、方法の誤りに気づいた。
線分ではなく、同心円の弧を描くべきだったのだ。
やり直さなければならない。
移動していた母に始点へ戻るよう指示する。
戻る途中に障害物があり、巻尺が曲がっていた。
障害物を取り除くよう、母へ呼びかける。
すると、汚い声で怒鳴る男がいた。
「こっちは道路に沿って曲げてるんだ。
調子に乗って勝手な指示を出すんじゃねえ」
なんとなく兄かもしれないと思うのだが
根本的に考えが合わない気がした。
