田舎の田んぼで稲刈りを手伝っている。
なのに、左手でつかんだのは稲でなかった。
胎児の形に折れ曲がった大きなトンボ。
オニヤンマと思われる。
（オニヤンマ、こんなに大きかったっけ？）
ともかく、稲に群がる虫を駆除するのが俺の仕事。
すでに死んでるオニヤンマは捨てる。
右手には鎌、のつもりが、いつしか日本刀。
飛びまわる害虫どもを斬りまくる。
虫は大きくなり、次第に化け物じみてくる。
仮装した人間のようにも見えてきた。
だが、害虫のような人間は殺してもかまわない。
そんな言い訳をつぶやきながら斬り続ける。
もはや
二度三度と刃を立てる。
害虫人間の断末魔の叫び。
心臓、バクバク。
Pest Control
I am helping with rice harvesting in rural rice fields.
