二輪車を出入りさせる短く狭いスロープがある。
これの上部の角で原付バイクが腹を擦る。
この問題を解消するよう業者に工事を発注した。
ところが、失敗。
条件内で最善の仕様かと思われたが、まだ腹を擦る。
検討の結果、だいたいの改善方針は決まった。
スロープの途中を弧を描くように盛り上げれば良い。
しかし、具体的な曲線の数値をどう決めるか。
難しい問題ゆえ、業者に丸投げもできない。
そこで、閃いた。
方眼紙で平面模型を作ってみよう！
スロープの寸法を測り、方眼紙に線を引く。
1/10スケールのスロープの縮図ができた。
バイクの寸法も測り、方眼紙に線を引く。
タイヤと腹だけの平面バイクを描いて切り抜く。
1/10スケールのバイクの平面模型ができた。
平面模型バイクを縮図スロープの上に置く。
スロープに腹が擦らないようバイクを移動させる。
移動させながら鉛筆でタイヤ下端の位置をマークする。
マークをなだらかに鉛筆でつなげる。
求めるスロープの曲線が出現した！
やれ嬉し。
Slope Rubbing Belly

Let's make a plane model with graph paper!
Measure the slope and draw a line on the graph paper.
1/10 scale slope has been reduced.
Measure the dimensions of the motorbike
and draw a line on the graph paper.
Draw and cut out a flat motorbike with only tires and belly.
A 1/10 scale motorbike plane model was created.
Place the plane model motorbike
on the reduced scale slope.
Move the motorbike so that
the belly does not rub against the slope.
Mark the bottom edge of the tire
with a pencil while moving it.
Connect the marks gently with a pencil.
The desired slope curve has appeared!
