田舎に集団疎開した感じ。
戦争孤児になってしまったのかも。
線路の近くを仲間たちと歩いている。
列車がすぐ近くを通り過ぎる。
見上げるほど近い。
ただし、列車のスピードは遅い。
引率の男が線路の間、枕木の上に寝転んだ。
列車が真上を通過するも平気な様子が見える。
仲間たちも次々とその男の真似をする。
楽しそうだが、どうも真似する気になれない。
この長引く戦争のせいで、彼らは
死に対する感覚が麻痺しているのではなかろうか。
Mass evacuation
It feels like a group escape to the countryside.
We may have been war orphans.
I am walking with my friends near the track.
The train passes by in the immediate vicinity.
It's close enough to look up.
However, the train speed is slow.
A leading man lay on a sleeper while on the track.
The train passes just above him,
but he can be seen to be okay.
Friends also imitate the man one after another.
It looks fun, but I don't feel like copying it.
Perhaps this prolonged war
has paralyzed their sense of death?
