まるで悪い夢のようね、と女は思った。
眠っていたところを男に襲われたのだ。
寝室は暗く、男の顔さえ見えなかった。
あるいは寝室ではなかったのかもしれない。
寝室には内鍵をかけておいたはず。
少なくともそこはベッドの上ではなかった。
男の筋肉は硬くて強かった。
指がヌルヌルする。出血したらしい。
それでも痛みは感じないのだった。
これはやはり夢かもしれない。
どうしてこうなるの、と女は考えた。
眠る前に肉を食べたせいかしら？
男はなぜか女を抱きながら泣いていた。
それで女は男が誰かわかった。
「かわいそうな人」
女はそれが自分の声とは思えなかった。
「首を絞めてもいいわよ。
殺されたって恨まないから」
夢から覚めたら笑ってやるんだ、と女は決めた。

Bad Dream
The woman thought it was like a bad dream.
She was attacked by a man while she was asleep.
Her bedroom was dark
and she couldn't even see his face.
Or maybe it wasn't a bedroom.
The bedroom should have been locked.
At least it wasn't on the bed.
His muscles were stiff and strong.
Her fingers are slippery.
She seems to have bleeding.
Still she didn't feel any pain.
This may still be a dream.
She wondered why this happened.
(Is it because I ate meat before I went to sleep?)
He was crying
while he was hugging her for some reason.
So she knew who he was.
"Poor person."
She didn't think it was her own voice.
"You can strangle me,
because I don't resent being killed."
She decided she would laugh
when she woke up from her dream.
