なんにもなれなかった。

棋士にもなれなかった。
　科学者にもなれなかった。

画家にもなれなかった。
　漫画家にもなれなかった。

詩人にもなれなかったし
　作家にもなれなかった。

なんにもなれなかった。

天才にもなれなかったし
　秀才にすらなれなかった。

サラリーマンにはなれたけど
　嬉しくもなかった。

そのうちサラリーマンもやめてしまった。

やめてしばらくして
　またサラリーマンになったりしたけど
　　やっぱりやめてしまった。

なんにもなれなかった。

作曲家にもなれなかったし
　作詞家にもなれなかった。

なんにもなれなかった。

哲人にもなれなかった。
　仙人にもなれなかった。

このまま
　なんにもなれないまま

　　　死体になって
　　　　お骨になって

　　でも仏にはなれなくて
　きっと幽霊になったりするんだろな。

I could not do anything.

I could not become a chess player.
I could not be a scientist either.

I could not become a cartoonist either.

I could not even be a poet
I could not become a writer.

I could not even be a proud student.

I became a salaried worker, but
I was not happy.
