ここは工事現場。
工場内にいるような印象もあるから
あるいは工場そのものを建造中かもしれない。
ともかく、とてつもなく巨大なものを
大勢の作業員が協力しながら築いている。
そこにトラックが入ってきた。
床に散らばる機材を避けながら
見事に侵入し、搬入を終えて出てゆく。
大した職人技だ。
その時、外注業者の責任者である男が
しきりに感心している俺に話しかけてきた。
「足らない部品あるので引き上げねばならん。
戻るまで作業にならないから伝えておいてくれ」
「いつ戻るのだ」俺は尋ねる。
「たいたい日暮れ頃かな」
ははあ。こいつ、休憩したいのだな。
それを監督に言わず、下っ端の俺なんかに言う。
「ああ、いいよ。わかった。まかせておけ」
まっとうな理由とは思えないが、そもそも
彼らがおかれた環境がまっとうではない。
ふたり、危険物で傷つかないように注意しながら
縄梯子のような不安定な足場を下りる。
さて、どうしたものか。
このことを監督に伝えなければならないが
監督がどこにいるか、あいにく俺は知らない。
それに、わざわざ俺が伝えなくても
わかる監督ならわかってくれるのではないかな。

On-Site Policy
This is a construction site.
We may have the impression that
we are inside the factory,

Anyway, a lot of workers are working together
to build a huge thing.
A truck came in there.
It brilliantly invaded while avoiding
the equipment scattered on the floor,
finished carrying in, and left.
It's a great craftsmanship.
At that time, the man
in charge of the subcontractor talked to me,
who was always impressed.
"I have to pull it up because there are missing parts.
Please tell the director
because it will not be work until you return."
"When are you going back?" I ask.
"I think it's about nightfall."
So that's it. This guy wants to take a break.
He doesn't tell it to the director,
he says to me at the bottom.
"Oh, okay. I see. Leave it to me."
I don't think it's a good reason,
but the environment they're in isn't right
in the first place.
We descend an unstable scaffolding like a rope ladder,
being careful not to be hurt by dangerous objects.
What's wrong?
I have to tell the director about this,
but unfortunately I don't know where he is.
Besides, even if I don't bother to tell him,
I think a director who understands will understand it.
