町内で祭りが行われるという。
その準備のため、子どもらが虫を捕まえんとする。
「青い虫だぞ。青い虫がいいんだ」
植木屋の親父が指示を出す。
男の子が一匹の青い蝶を追い始めた。
だが、なかなか捕獲は難しい。
おいらも手伝おうか、という気分になる。
あいにく青くないが、金色の大きな蝶が
低木の葉にとまってるのを見つけた。
それを片手でつまみ、持ち上げる。
すると、重みで蝶が半分に千切れてしまった。
小麦粉粘土のような感触。
あわてて元に戻すが、後の祭り。
近くの葉にも別の蝶がいた。
その蝶は大きな芋虫に襲われていた。
なんだか強姦されてるみたいな感じなので
まじまじと見入ってしまった。
おや、近所で赤ん坊の泣き声がする。
Later Festival
A festival is held in the town.
