上京して住んだ江戸川区の下宿近くを歩いている。
少し前、Google Earth のストリートビューで
仮想的に歩いてみたが、どうもそれとは様子が違う。
そこに残っていたのは、下宿の土台部分だけ。
現在では別の新しい住宅が建っているはずなので
実際に住んでいた頃と今との中間あたりらしい。
私は今、あの頃の大家夫婦の年齢に近づいている。
この土台はまるで彼らの墓のようではないか。
とうとう私も思い出の墓参りをする年齢に達したか。
Visiting the Grave of Memories
I walked near the boarding house
in Edogawa-ku where I lived in Tokyo.
A while ago, I walked virtually
in Google Earth Street View, but it looks different.
All that remained was the base of the boarding house.
At present, another new house is supposed to be built,
so it seems to be halfway between
when I actually lived and now.
I am now approaching the age of the married couple
who was the landlord at that time.
Isn't this foundation like their grave?
At last I seem to have reached
the age of visiting the grave of memories.
