食用ヒマワリの種を試しに買ってみた。
海外では定番のおやつらしいので。
すぐに失敗に気づく。
残りは捨ててしまおうかとさえ思った。
まず、殻から取り出しにくい上に身が少ない。
また、さして
それでも親指の爪で殻を割る方法を苦労して会得。
なんとか手探りだけで食べられるようになった。
黙々と割って食べつつ考える。
これは食べるのが目的ではないな。
割り損ねて食べ損ねても気にするまでもない。
いわゆる手慰み、口慰みだ。
ただし、日本では普及しないだろうな。
なにしろ日本人はきれい好きだから。
Sunflower Seeds
I bought some edible sunflower seeds as a trial.
Because it seems to be a standard snack overseas.
I immediately notice the failure.

Also, it's not very good.
Still, I had a hard time learning
how to break the shell with my thumb nails.
I managed to eat it just by groping.
I silently break and think while eating.
This isn't meant to be eaten.
You don't have to worry if you miss it and eat it.
So-called comfort and mouth comfort.
However, it will not spread in Japan.
After all, Japanese people like cleanliness.
