ママの味

食べ物には霊が憑（つ）くのだそうだ。
「個別の思い出」と呼んでも構わない。

テーブルの上にいくつか総菜があった。
「これ、持ってくよ」

姉のような印象の女が言う。
「あっ。それはダメ。これにして」

「どうしてさ」
「それはママの味がするからよ」

意味わからないながらも　
言われてみれば、なんとなく違いを感じる。

Mom's Taste

It seems that the spirit possesses food.
You may call it "individual memories."

There were some side dishes on the table.
"I'll bring this."

A woman with an impression like her sister says.
"Oh, that's no good. Do this."

"Why?"
"Because it tastes like mom."

I don't know what it means,
but when she tells me, I feel somehow different.
