ヒポポタマスと並んで歩いてる。
装甲車みたいに頑丈で大きなからだ。
まったく惚れ惚れしてしまう。
背中を叩いても、私の手が痛むだけだ。
やさしく撫でたって、感じてもくれない。
ヒポポタマスはいたって無口だ。
話しかけても無視されることが多い。
というか、無視されないことが少ない。
いったい私のこと、どう思ってるんだろ？
太くて長い牙をグワッと見せびらかして
ヒポポタマスはたびたび大あくびをする。
私と一緒に歩いていても退屈なのだ。
きっとハエくらいにしか思われてないんだ。
ヒポポタマスは勝手気ままに生きてる。
公園の芝生に寝転んで日光浴なんかする。
私はベンチに腰掛けてそれを眺める。
サラサラと音を立てて時がこぼれてゆく。
みんな、ヒポポタマスはカバだという。
すぐにでも別れた方が私のためだという。
そのヒポポタマスの寝姿に見惚れてる私。
頬杖ついて、ため息なんかついて････
救いようのないくらいバカみたいな私。

Hippopotamus
I am walking alongside Hippopotamus.
He is as robust as an armored car, big body.
I fall in love at all.
Hitting his back will only hurt my hands.
He does not feel that I gently stroke.
Hippopotamus is quite silent.
Even though I talk to him, he ignores in many cases.
Or, he seldom to note me.
How does he think about me at all?
Show off the thick and long tusks as threatening,
Hippopotamus often yawns.
He is bored even if he is walking with me.

Hippopotamus lives selfishly.
He lies on the lawn of the park and sunbathes.
I sit on the bench and look at it.
The time rises with making a noise with smoothness.
Everyone says Hippopotamus is Hippo.
