雄大な海を見下ろす崖の上に
不釣合いに見える母と子の姿があった。
美しい夫人が醜い赤ん坊を抱いていた。
夫人は遠い水平線を見詰め
そんな母親を赤ん坊が見上げていた。
ところが不意に、夫人はめまいに襲われ
意識を失って崖の上に倒れてしまった。
赤ん坊は崖から海に落ちてしまい
いくら探しても死体さえ見つからなかった。
そのため、夫人は気が触れてしまった。
でも、なぜか誰もそれに気づかない。
もう夫人の美しさは怖いくらい。
正気の美しさではなかった。
すると不意に、まだ幼い赤ん坊が
しっかりした言葉を喋り出した。
「ママ。今度は落とさないでね」
あの醜い赤ん坊の顔。
「ええ。心配しなくていいのよ」
怖いほど美しい夫人の微笑み。
「今度は、ママも一緒に落ちてあげるから」
