おれは浴室の床に裸で立っている。
彼女は浴室の壁に裸でしゃがんでいる。
つまり、おれたちは垂直の関係にある。

壁の彼女は天井ぎりぎりまで逃げる。

浴室から出たら彼女、横に落ちてしまう。
脱衣所を真横に抜けて
廊下の突き当りの窓から外へ落ちて
そのまま地平線の果てまで落下するのだ。
彼女を狙って、おれはジャンプした。
惜しい。
もう少しで足首をつかめたのに。
「だれか、助けて！」
笑える。
この家にいるのはふたりだけだ。
近所に他人の家はない。
もう一度、おれは思いっきり床を蹴った。

なんとも妙な感じだった。
着地したところに浴室の照明があった。
それに、彼女がすぐ近くの壁にいる。
すぐに彼女は上へ逃げてしまって
見上げたところに浴槽と床があった。
見下ろすと、足もとは天井だった。
つまり、おれは浴室の天井にいるのだった。
壁の彼女がくすくす笑い出した。
いったい彼女。なにがおかしいというのだろう。
おれたちはまだ垂直の関係のままだというのに。

I stand naked on the floor of the bathroom.
