不意に回線が切れてしまった。
大変なクレームが発生していた。
在庫部品数の確認を急ぐ必要があった。
すぐに固定電話機の番号ボタンを押すと
ボタンがはずれてバラバラになった。
あわててボタンを拾い
なんとかはめ直して押し直す。
あせっているため最後まで正しく押せない。
バカみたいに掛け直しを繰り返す。
さらに、この緊急時だというのに
隣席の同僚が邪魔をする。
「3.1415 926535 897932 3846････」
なぜか耳もとで円周率を唱えるのだ。
（なんだ、こいつは？
なぜこいつ、こんなに丸い顔なのだ？）
無性に腹が立つ。
持っていたペンを逆手に握り
同僚の毛深い腕にペン先を突き刺す。
「殺すぞ！ 仕事中なんだからな！」
感情にまかせて怒鳴りつける。
ところが、なぜか
同僚の腕からペンが抜けなくなる。
どうやら腕を覆う毛に絡まってしまったらしい。
ペンがなくてはメモを取れないので
ひたすら後悔するばかりである。

While I was negotiating with a subcontractor on the phone,
the line was unexpectedly broken.
A serious complaint was occurring.
