それがなぜかクルマのレースに参戦した。
運営には莫大な費用がかかる。
勝ち続けても採算があるとは思えない。
実際のところ、負け続けているらしい。
まあ、そりゃそうだろう。
費用について具体的な数字を同僚から聞く。
「とんでもないね。なぜ撤退しないのだろう」
経営者の胸の内が理解できない。
「このままじゃ、必ず倒産するよ」
暗たんたる気持ちでいっぱいだ。
「美しいとも思えないが、滅びの美学かね」
同僚がゆっくり振り返る。
無表情な社長の顔になっていた。

Participation in the Race
The company I work for is a small business.
However, for some reason
the company participated in a car race.
Its operation costs a huge amount of money.
I don't think it will be profitable if it keeps winning.
In fact, it seems that it keeps losing.
