Don’t Cry
During my second year of high school,
there was a school broadcast
and my name was called.
(I wonder what?)
I went to the staff room,
picked up the handset,
and heard the news of my father's death.
I remember squatting and crying in a narrow,
dark place with cleaning tools
on the back of the stairs.
About two days later I cried
because my father was dead.
Then I cried because my mother was poor.
I left early and ran from a high school
to a nearby city hospital,
so I couldn't stand it because of my urination.
I rushed to the public toilet and pissed with pity,
but I thought,
"The reality doesn't look like a drama."
