クルマは高速道路を走っていた。
「えっ、なに？」
返事がなかった。
「なんだよ？」
やはり返事がないのだった。
おれは不安になってきた。
「あのさ、なにか言わなかった？」
「なにも言ってないわよ」
「おかしいな」
「私の声が聞こえたの？」
「うん」
「空耳よ」
「そうかな」
「寝ぼけてたんじゃないの」
そこで、目が覚めた。
自宅の寝室だった。
夢だったのだ。
笑える。
本当に寝ぼけていたらしい。
それはともかく、少し気になる。
あれは本当に空耳だったのだろうか。
確かに聞こえたのだ。
よく聞き取れなかったけど。
それに、あの走っていたクルマ。
あれは
いったい誰が運転していたのだろう。
彼女は後部座席で
おれは助手席で
おれの横には誰もいなかったのに。
Mishearing
The car was running on the highway.
"What?"
There was no reply.
"What is it?"
After all there was no reply.
I'm getting anxious.
"Did you say anything?"
"I haven't said anything."
"That's strange."
"Did you hear my voice?"
"Yup."
"It's a mishearing."
"I wonder if that's true?"
"Don't you fall asleep?"
There I woke up.
It was my bedroom.
It was a dream.
Laughable.
It seems that I was really asleep.
Anyway, I'm a little worried.
Was that really mishearing?
I did hear it.
I couldn't hear it well.
Besides, that car was running.
Who was driving that?
She was in the back seat,
I was in the passenger seat,
and there was no one next to me.
