私たちが臨海学校で滞在していた某県の海岸に
某国の原子力潜水艦が唐突に座礁した。
海水アレルギー体質なので
私は海に入ることができない。
それでも皆と一緒に夏休みを過ごしたくて
この臨海学校に参加した。
だから、私は海岸沿いにあるプールで泳いでいた。
というか、プールサイドで日光浴をしていた。
生意気にもサングラスなんかして
デッキチェアーで脚組んで。
かたわらにジュースのグラスはなかったけど
いっぱしのレディーのつもりだった。
残念ながら、地味なスクール水着なんだけどね。
それで、座礁した原子力潜水艦の話なんだけど
あれ、なかなか大胆なポーズだったよ。
そうとう勢いよく突っ込んだんだろうね。
グッと艦首が海面から突き出していて
私、巨大で真っ黒な蛹を連想しちゃった。
あれの背中と言うのかなんと言うのか
ピリピリ割れて、巨大なアゲハチョウが出てくる。
ゆっくりと優雅に黒く美しい翅はねを広げ、
やがて、潮風に乗って羽ばたき、大空を低く舞う。
放射能たっぷりの鱗粉が雪のように町に降ってくる。
某国のアジテーション用宣伝ビラなんかも
いくらか混ざってるかもしれない。
その光景は、きっと死ぬほど綺麗に違いない。
そんなことを夢見ているうちに
西日は傾き、集合の時間になってしまった。
ふん、なにさ。
いつか私だって蝶になってやるんだから。

Pupa on Beach
A nuclear submarine of a certain country stranded abruptly
on the coast of a certain prefecture
where we stayed at a seaside school.
Because I am allergic to seawater, I can not enter the sea.
Still, I wanted to spend the summer vacation with everyone,
and I joined this seaside school.
So, I was swimming in the pool along the coast.
To be exact, I was sunbathing by the pool.
Sneaky even wear sunglasses, leg cage with a deck chair.
There was no glass with juice beside,
but I intended to be a lady of a single servant.
Unfortunately, it is a plain school swimwear.

and I was reminiscent of a gigantic black pupa.

and eventually flies in the sea breeze and dances low in the sky.
