深夜の高層ビル。
ひとり暗い廊下に立っていると
私の名を呼びながら女が近づいてくる。
彼女の声に似ている。
姿も似ている。
だが、確信が持てない。
「あの目が悪いものですから････」
そのまま女は通り過ぎ、廊下の奥の闇へ歩み去る。
すると誰だ？
彼女ではなかったのか？
深夜の高層ビルの廊下で彼女に会うというのも変な話だ。
しかし、今は考え込んでいる場合ではない。
壁のボタンを押す。
音もなく扉が開く。
エレベーターに乗る。
廊下より暗い。
並んでいるボタンのうち、一番下のそれを押す。
音もなく扉が閉まる。
加速しながら落ちてゆく。
扉の上、階数を示す表示ランプが次々と移動してゆく。
途中で停止する。
音もなく扉が開く。
ひとりの女が乗ってきた。
上の階で別れたばかりの彼女だ。
今度は確信が持てた。
「どうして君が････」
彼女も驚く。
「さっき廊下で会ったわよね」
「変だ。操作をまちがえたのかな」
「でも、これ、上から下りてきたわよ」
エレベーターの扉が音もなく閉まる。
石ころのように落下してゆく感覚。
不安な目で相手を見つめる、ふたり。
ただ音もなく落ちてゆくばかり。

Midnight skyscraper.
While standing alone in the dark corridor,
a woman comes near while calling my name.
It resembles her voice.
The appearances are similar.
But I can not be sure.

The woman passes by,
and walks to the darkness behind the corridor.
Then who?
Were not she?
It is strange to meet her at a corridor
in a skyscraper in the middle of the night.
However, it is not a case where I am thinking now.
Press the button on the wall.
The door opens without sound.
I take the elevator.
It is darker than the corridor.
Of the buttons arranged side by side, push it at the bottom.
There is no sound and the door closes.
It falls while accelerating.
Indication lamps indicating the number of floors
above the doors will move one after another.
Stop in the middle.
The door opens without sound.
A single girl came on board.
She just broke up on the upper floor.
Now I was confident.

"I saw you in the corridor earlier,"
