ある夏のとある海水浴場。
水着の蜜蜂たちとパラソルの花畑。
海水浴と日光浴を楽しむ老若男女の群。

ある浜茶屋の日陰に白い犬がしゃがんでいた。
むく毛の大きな犬だった。
むく犬はおもむろに立ち上がると
そのまま海へ向かって歩き始めた。
その先には真っ黒に焼けた背中を見せて
若い男がうつ伏せに寝ていた。
むく犬は男に近寄り、鼻先を近づけた。
それから、男の背中を舐め始めた。
男は眠ったまま気づかない。
それを近くにいる人たちが笑って眺めている。
むく犬が舐めると男の背中の皮がむけた。
きれいにペロリとむけてしまった。
そのむけた黒い皮をむく犬は食べた。
うまそうにペロリと食べてしまった。
それでも男は気づかない。
むく犬は男の背中を舐め続けた。
黒い背中が赤い背中に変わってしまうと
むく犬は舐めるのをやめた。
それから、あたりを見まわした。
眺めていた人たちは視線をそらした。
むく犬はつまらなそうな表情をして
そのまま浜茶屋へと引き返すのだった。
むく犬は同じ日陰に元のようにしゃがんだ。
なんとも監視員の風格があるのだった。

Still the man does not notice.
The dog kept licking the man's back.
When the black back turned into a red back,
the dog ceased to lick.
Then the dog looked around.
The viewers deflected their eyes.
The dog had a look that looked boring,
and it went back to the beach teahouse as it was.
The shaggy dog squatted like the original
in the same shade.
There was a character of a watchman.
