神殿が荒らされ、秘宝の短剣が盗まれた。
それを手にする者
人を刺さずにいられなくなる、という。
もし身近に誰もいなければ
己の胸さえ刺す、という。
奪われるまで、力尽きるまで
それこそ死ぬまで刺し続ける、という。
まさに呪われた短剣。
おちおち血糊も拭けやしない。
ただし揃いの鞘の内に短剣あれば
その呪いが外へ及ぶことはない、という。
ところが残念ながら
宝石で飾られた美しい鞘は
神殿の床に落ちていた。
しかも修復できそうもないほど無残に
折れて割れ、粉々に砕け散って。
それゆえか神殿の門から外へ累々と
血と屍の列が続く、続く。
