ご近所の新田さんからカブをいただいた。
たくさんあって、一人では食べきれないほど。
彼は農家の知人からいただいたそうだ。
割れたり形が悪い野菜は売れないとのこと。
農家も大変である。
とりあえず、みそ汁の具にするくらいか。
他にカブ料理なんか思い浮かばない。
漬物という手はあるが、面倒臭そう。
そのまま生で食べられないかな。
割れたカブをひとつ選び、表面の泥を水で洗う。
スーパーの商品でないから、掘り出したままなのだ。
すると、その口の裂けたカブが喋りだした。
「形が悪いくらいで食べない奴、頭と性格が悪い。
こんな奴らが築いた文明、そのうち滅ぶ」
やれやれ。
なんとも人を喰ったカブである。
