新宿のパセラというカラオケ店でオフ会があった。
そこで熱唱のあまり、アサギちゃんが
テーブルの上の飲み物のグラスを倒してしまった。
中身のタピオカ入りミルクティーが
テーブルにぶちまけられ、床にもこぼれ落ちた。
おしぼりでふき取りながらタピオカを指でつまむと
なんとも言えないもっちもちの感触がする。
アサギちゃんはマイクを離さず、歌い終えるまで
タピオカの相手などしていられる状態ではなかった。
さて、当日はそれくらいで無事に楽しく終わった。
ところが、その翌日の朝から
アサギちゃんの身に異変が起こるようになった。
まず、夢。
タピオカの池で溺れそうになって目が覚めた。
それから、トイレ。
大きい方が小さな粒状になって出てくる。
タピオカが未消化のまま出てくるのかな
などと思っていたら、いつまでも出てくる。
鼻をほじくっても、そんなのが出てくる。
耳掃除をしても、そんな塊が取れる。
さらに、肌をこすったり掻いたりすると
タピオカみたいな粒状の垢がボロボロ落ちる。
まさか、あの床にこぼれたタピオカの呪いか。
世間知らずなアサギちゃんは不安になる。
スマホで検索してタピオカを調べてみると
キャッサバの根茎から製造されるデンプン、とある。
キャッサバはマニオク、マンジョカとも呼ばれ
キントラノオ目トウダイグサ科イモノキ属の熱帯低木。
救いを求め、アサギちゃんは必死に唱える。
「タピオカ、キャッサバ、マニオク、マンジョカ
キントラノオ、トウダイグサ、イモノキ」
よくわからないが、不思議なことに
それからタピオカの呪いはパッタリ止まったそうである。
Cursed Tapioca
There was an offline meeting
at a karaoke store called PASELA in Shinjuku.

Furthermore, when rubbing or scratching the skin,
grainy dust like Tapioca falls down.
No way, is the curse of Tapioca spilling over that floor?
Miss Asagi, unfamiliar to the world, becomes uneasy.
Searching with a smartphone and looking at Tapioca,
it is starch produced from the rhizome of Cassava.
Cassava is also called Manioc, Mandioca,
a tropical shrub of Malpighiales Euphorbiaceae Manihot.
Ask for salvation, Miss Asagi desperately sings.
"Tapioca, Cassava, Manioc, Mandioca, Malpighia,
Euphorbia, Manihot"
I do not really understand, but strangely,
it seems that the curse of Tapioca has stopped perfectly.
