少年の態度が気にくわないのだった。
人通りの多い通路でボールを蹴っている。
それもだらしなく、投げやりに。
それで、こちらへボールが転がって来た時に
ぶつけるみたいな感じで蹴り返してやったのだ。
ボールは少年の顔に当たるかかすめるかして
左右に仕切りのある小さな店の中に入った。
少年は黙ってボールを追い、追い着く。
それから、こちらに蹴り返す気配を見せる。
実際、蹴り返してきたかもしれない。
こちらは受けて立つ気がまえになっている。
軟弱そうに見える少年を見くびっているわけだ。
少なからぬ危険をともなうわけだが
どうにも我慢ならないのだった。
