試合開始の予定時刻になったが
陰の存在である彼は立ち会うことができない。
違反者が出ないよう監視せねばならない立場だが
性格からして、そんなことはできそうもない。
それで、試合会場の周囲をギターを弾きながら
時にはチェロのように持ち替えながら歩くばかり。
私は行き過ぎる彼の哀愁漂う後ろ姿を見守る。
遅れて追いかけたら姿を見失ってしまった。
こちらと見当をつけた道は徐々に狭まり
やがて、とある建物の中に入る。
前方に女子高校生らしき数人の後ろ姿が見える。
これから階段を上るようである。
痴漢の冤罪をかけられそうな不安を感じる。
やがて屋根のない場所に出た。
ベニヤ板がむき出しで、建築現場のようだ。
前が詰まっていて、立ち止まっていると
後ろから「早く進め」と尻に膝蹴りをくらう。
初対面の他人によくもそんなことができるものだ。
気分次第の無分別な行為に腹は立つものの
そういう神経の相手とは関わってはならない。
直前には女子高校生と青年が抱き合っていた。
ここでガツンと叱らないと舐められるのだが
いずれにせよ不快に感じられることはしたくない。
段差を乗り越え、ようやく広い場所に出た。
薄い木の板を並べただけの床が折れそうで怖い。
実際、ある場所では、どんでん返しのように
踏んだ床板が斜めに裏返って落ちそうになった。
雨が降ったら床板が濡れて折れやすくなりそうだ。
今でも十分に不安ではあるが。

Floor Board That Is Likely to Break
It's time to start the game,
but he can't be present because of the shadow.
He is in a position to watch for violators,
but by his nature it seems unlikely that
he will be able to do that.
So he just walks around the venue, playing the guitar
and sometimes changing hands like a cello.
I watch over his melancholy back.
I lost sight of him when I chased after him late.
The road that I guessed here gradually narrowed,
and eventually I entered a certain building.
In front of me,
I can see the backs of several high school girls.
They seem to be going up the stairs.
I feel anxious about being falsely accused of molesting.
Eventually I went to a place without a roof.
The plywood is exposed and looks like a construction site.
When the front is clogged and I'm stopped,
someone kicks my hips from behind, saying,
"Go fast."
There was someone who could do that well
for others who met for the first time!
I'm angry
at someone's mood-dependent ill-advised behavior,
but I shouldn't be involved with such a nervous partner.
Just before me, a high school girl
and a young man were hugging each other.
If I don't scold them with my fist here, they will lick me,
but I don't want to feel uncomfortable anyway.
After overcoming the step,
I finally came out to a wide place.
I'm afraid that the floor,
which is just a line of thin wooden boards,
is about to break.
In fact, in one place, the floorboard
I stepped on turned over diagonally like a twist,
and I was about to fall.
If it rains, the floorboards will get wet
and will break easily.
I'm still worried enough.
