幼い息子がクモに呪われたようなのだ。
正確には、息子が寝ていた敷布団が。
どういうことかというと、今朝の話である。
息子は遠足に出かける予定を楽しみにしていた。
ところが目覚めて、さて起きようとしたら
なぜか布団から出られない。
「助けて。こわいよ」
寝たまま、そんなことを言う。
「どうしたんだ？」
「このふとん、なんか変だよ」
あわてて掛布団をはぎ取る。
敷布団の上に寝たままの息子の姿。
白いシーツを手で叩くと、白い煙のような粉が出た。
それに表面がモコモコ動く。
「大変。クモに呪われたんだわ」
意味わからんことを妻が言う。
こらしめるようにシーツを叩き続けていると
小さなウサギが敷布団の下から出てきた。
タオル生地のぬいぐるみである。
それも色違いで、いくつもいくつも。
なんなんだ、これは。
さっぱり意味わからない。
ただし、尋常ではないことだけはわかる。
なんだか背筋に寒気も感じてきた。
クモかウサギか知らないが
呪われていることだけは確かなようだ。

Spider Curse
It's like my little son was cursed by a spider.
To be exact, the mattress he was sleeping on.
What that means is this morning's story.
My son was looking forward to going on an excursion.
But when he wakes up and tries to get up,
he can't get out of the futon for some reason.
"Help. I'm scared."
He says that while he is asleep.

I hurry and peel off the comforter.

white smoke-like powder came out.
Besides, the surface moves like a swell.
"It's hard. It was cursed by a spider."
My wife says I don't understand what it means.

a little rabbit came out from under the mattress.
It is a stuffed towel cloth.
