家内制工業みたいに流れ作業で絵を描いている。
知り合いの女がマーカーで着色している。
塗り絵をしているような感じ。
前工程として絵の具を混ぜる機械が彼女の隣にある。
その機械を制御しているのが私と同僚の男。
こちらの手違いで、ある色の絵の具を切らしてしまった。
そのため、しばらく塗り絵作業がストップ。
そこへ別の知り合いの女が近づいてきた。
「どうしたの？」
こちらのミスだが、それをあえて伝えたくない。
「いやあ。一時的に絵の具を切らしてしまってね」
まるで我々の前工程に手違いがあったかのように装う。
「へえー、そうなの？」
いかにも不審そうな表情の彼女。
さて、諦めて事実を伝えるかどうか、迷うところ。
