寄宿舎の階段の途中で変なものを拾った。
片手で持てるほどの骨格標本の部品みたいなもの。
それを通りかかった先輩に見せると
「どうしたんだ、これは」と驚いた様子。
とりあえず、彫刻などが置いてある美術室へ運ぶ。
女子生徒が油絵を描いていた。
近日中にグループ展があるらしい。
それに出品するため、僕も油絵を描き始める。
高校の同級生だった男も現れ、遅れて描き始める。
多才な男だったが、絵もうまいものだ。
女子生徒の筆が滑って彼の絵を汚してしまったが
その汚れを活かすように修繕してしまった。
彼はグループ展に入選しそうな気がする。
そして、僕はきっと落選だ。
