旧札の価値やら肖像画人物の業績とやらを
噛んで砕いて口移しするかのように説明する。
なんとか食事を終えて食堂を出た。
座敷が広い廊下のように連なっている。
どうやら迷子になったようだ。
従業員らがいる部屋にてご挨拶。
「ちょっと通してくだしゃんせ」
「ご用のない者、通しゃせぬ」
しかしながら笑っておるので冗談と受け取る。
畳の上に和菓子が置いてあった。
ひとついただいて何事もなく去らんとする。
客なのに叱責されるかとよぎる不安。
Pay with Old Bills

Japanese sweets were placed on the tatami mat.
I got one of them and decided to leave without incident.
