それで、その書類を窓口に提出した。

手続きを先に済ませた社長の声がする。

意味不明だが、外から私を呼んでいるようだ。
再び呼ばれたくないので急いで出よう。

受付嬢が笑う。超恥ずかしい。

Aさんは怒ってしまい、一時散会。

しばらく休んでから戻ってみると　
Bさんが庭でゴルフの真似事をしていた。

打ち上げた消しゴムは裏面が表に出た。
それで議案は決まってしまった。

後方より友軍機が一機、接近して並ぶ。
緊急時の対応が思い出せず、不安がよぎる。

片手で尾翼の端をつかんだまま　
もう片手でマニュアルを開こうとする。

うまく開けないでいるうちに失敗した。
着陸する地点を過ぎてしまったのだ。

友軍機はしっかり着陸していた。
そのパイロットは若い女性だった。

のちほど上官から叱責された。
「どうして着陸しなかったのだ」

「マニュアルを熟読していたため
　指示を見逃してしまいました」

「尾翼の近くに停止ボタンがあるだろうが」
「すみません。知りませんでした」

「まったく」上官はさじを投げた。
こっちこそ「まったく」である。
