貴婦人が鏡の回廊を渡っておられました。
鏡の回廊の左右の壁には珍しい鏡が
いくつもいくつも飾ってありました。
ある鏡には、上品なドレス姿の貴婦人が
その麗しき横顔とともに映りました。
別の鏡には、夢見る表情の貴婦人が
裸で歩いておられる姿が映りました。
また別の鏡には、床に跪いた貴婦人が
背徳の儀式に耽る姿が映るのでした。
じつに色々な鏡があるのでした。
美しい少女が映る鏡もありました。
醜い老婆が映る鏡もありました。
まったくなにも映らない鏡もありました。
わずかに傾いた合わせ鏡のように
どこまでも鏡の回廊は続いているのでした。
