空に浮かぶ輪郭のはっきりした雲の形が
鏡のような湖面にきれいに映る。
広葉樹林が静かに湖を囲んでいる。
湖面に浮かぶ小舟には人影ふたつ。
櫂かいを漕ぐは浴衣の女。
波紋は生まれも広がりもせず、湖面は鏡のまま。
「なかなか進まないものね」
はだけて覗く女の胸もと、膝もと。
そろいの浴衣の男が目をそらす。
「もう漕がなくていいよ」
影を落としながら怪鳥が湖を渡り
その影の重みで湖面がわずかにゆがむ。
まだ乾いていない女の洗い髪がゆれ
浴衣の帯が蛇のようにほどける。
その黒い帯は蛇のように這い続け
やがて音もなくふなべりから落ちる。
生きた湖面に飲み込まれるように
帯は底知れぬ湖底へとゆっくり沈んでゆく。
ときおり、怪鳥の影が鳴く。
The Snake Belt
The shape of the clear cloud of the floating sky
appears beautifully on the lake surface like a mirror.
A broadleaf forest quietly surrounds the lake.
There are two people in a boat floating on the lake.
It is a woman in a yukata to row a paddle.
Ripples are neither born nor spreading,
the lake surface remains a mirror.
"It's not going quite well."
Barefoot woman's chest, knee base.
The guy in the yukata skirt looks away.
"You do not have to row anymore."
A suspicious bird crosses the lake
while dropping a shadow,
and the lake surface slightly distorts
due to the weight of the shadow.
A woman's hair that has not dried yet wobbles,
and the band of the yukata unwinds like a snake.
The black belt continues to crawl like a snake,
and eventually falls out of the slumber without sound.
The belt slowly sinks to the bottomless lake
so that it can be swallowed on the living lake surface.
Sometimes the shadows of suspicious birds cry.
