ひとりぼっち
昼休みの校庭のすみっこで
なまいきな男の子たち
かわいい女の子たちがつくる
にぎやかな色の
おもしろそうな形の
遊びの輪を
校舎の壁にもたれて
ポツンと眺めてた。
楽しそうだった。
なにが楽しいのか
よくわからなかったけど
楽しそうだった。
ぼくが近づくと
あの遊びの輪が
はずかしそうに
ほんのすこし切れて
その隙間にするりと
なんの迷いもなく
みんなと同じように
入り込めたら
きっと
きっと素敵だろう。
そう思ってた。
なのに
遊びの輪ときたら
ぼくが近づいたくらいじゃ
なかなか切れなくて
うまく入り込めなくて
ちっとも楽しくなくて
そのうち
午後の始業チャイムが鳴ると
ちょっと悲しくなるくらい
ホッとするのだった。

Playing Circle
At the corner of the schoolyard in the lunch break,
I was lonely overlooking all alone,
leaning against the walls of the school building,
cheeky boys, cute girls making lively colors
in an interesting form, playing circle.
It looked like fun.
I did not know exactly what was fun,
but it seemed fun.
As I approached,
that playing circle would shame a little embarrassedly,
there would be no sound in that gap,
without any hesitation,
if it could get in like everyone,
it would be wonderful.
That's what I thought.
Even so, at the playing circle,
it was hard to get in as much as I approached,
I could not fit in well,
it was not fun at all,
and when the afternoon start chime rang,
it got me relieved a little sadly.
