ミツバチの働きバチはメスである。
主に花粉と蜂蜜を食べて育ち、働きバチとなる。
働きバチの頭部から分泌されるローヤルゼリー
これのみで育てられたメスは女王バチとなる。
オスは、巣の中では餌をもらう以外特に何もしない。
ある晴れた日、オスは交尾するため外に飛び立つ。
オスバチは空中を集団で飛行し
その群れの中へ女王バチが飛び込み、交尾を行う。
オスバチは交尾の際に腹部が破壊され、死亡する。
女王バチは巣に帰還し産卵を開始する。
交尾できなかったオスも巣に戻るが、繁殖期を過ぎると
働きバチに巣を追い出され、死に至る。

Bee's Nest
The bee worker is a female.
They mainly eat pollen and honey,
grow up, and become workers.
