静かな海

ここは静かな海。
潮騒(しおさい)さえ聞こえない。

なにしろ海水がない。

昔は眩(まばゆ)い海原が広がっていたのであろうけれども　
今は干乾びた海底が剥(む)き出しになっているばかり。

そんな名ばかりの海の前　
やはり名ばかりの渚に座り、私は目を閉じる。

本当に静かだ。
吸い込まれそうなくらい。

耳が痛い。
私は両耳に手の覆(おお)いをする。

偽(いつわ)りの潮騒が聞こえる。
私は首を振る。

いっそ沈黙に吸い込まれて消えてしまえばいいのに。
こんな名ばかりの私なんか････

Quiet Sea

This is a quiet sea.
I can't even hear sea roar.

After all there is no seawater.

In the past,
the dazzling sea was probably spreading,
but now the dry seabed is bare.

In front of the sea that only has such a name,
I sit on the seaside that is only by name
and I close my eyes.

Really quiet.
It seems to be inhaled.

My ear hurts.
I cover my hands with both ears.

I can hear a false sea roar.

I shake my head.

I wish I could be absorbed in silence and disappear.
