その両側には等間隔に扉が並んでいる。
私は、丸い金属環を片手に持っている。

取っ手の穴を串刺しに、いくつかの鍵を携えて離さない。
私は、あるひとつの扉の前に立ち、ある想いに囚われる。

私は、金属環を目の高さに持ち上げ
垂れ下がる鍵に目をやる。

私は、ひとつひとつ鍵を数え始める。
しかし、それは環状になっているがゆえに
始まりと終わりの区切りがない。
途中で数がわからなくなってしまった。
とりあえず私は、ひとつの鍵を選び出し
目の前の扉の鍵穴に挿し込んでみる。
しかし、鍵は回らない。

私は、意味もなく扉を撫でる。

私は、扉をノックしてみる。

私は、周囲を見回す。

その時、扉の内鍵の外れる気配がした。
