若い頃、煙草を吸いすぎて気持ち悪くなり、
目を閉じて項垂れていたら
幻聴が始まった。
遠いざわめきのようなかすかなノイズが
次第に近く大きくなり、
はっきり言葉にならないものの
大勢に囲まれて罵倒されているような声になる。
無理に言葉にすれば、こんな感じ。
「････この馬鹿、なにやってんだ、恥知らず、
うすのろ、死ね、死んじまえ、餓鬼が、
嘘吐き、やめろ、キチガイ、クズ、ウジ虫、
能なし、ろくでなし、くたばれ、ゴミ、糞、
あっち行け、黙れ、うるさい････」
なにも悪い事してないのに
たまらんなあ、と思う。
次に、体が変形する幻視が始まった。
暗闇にいたので実際に見えたわけでなく、
ただそのように感じられたのだ。
自分の両脚が骨抜きにされて
ヘビのように曲がって伸びてゆき、
遠い風景の彼方にある何か
はっきり目に見えるものではないが
トンネルの穴状のものの中に入ってゆく。
なんとも不気味な感じがして
いやだなあ、と思う。
それだけの話。
あれから随分経つが
現在、喫煙は完全にやめている。
Cigarette Hallucinations
When I was young,
I smoked too much and felt uncomfortable,
and when I closed my eyes and drooped,
hallucinations began.
A faint noise like a distant buzz gradually
grows closer and louder,
and although it is not clear,
the voice seems to be cursed
by a large number of people.
Forcibly put it in words, it looks like this.
"What are you doing, shameless, this idiot,
Spoons, die, die, hunger,
Lie, stop, mad, crap, maggots,
Noh, bastard, slapstick, trash, dung,
Go away, shut up, noisy..."
I think I haven't done anything wrong,
but I can't stand it.
Then the vision of my body deforming began.
I didn't actually see it because I was in the dark,
it just felt like that.
My legs are watered down
and bend and stretch like a snake,
entering something beyond the distant landscape,
not clearly visible, into a tunnel hole.
It feels weird and I don't like it.
That's the story.
It's been a long time since then,
but now I'm completely quit smoking.
